Hand fabricated in 18 karat yellow gold on 8.5 millimeter thick braided leather. The center piece of this work consists of 5 independent fused and hammer-finished loops with a suspended pendant set with pure blue turquoise. The clasp side of this necklace is also made of hand fabricated18 Karat gold: with hand made chain loops and a custom interlocking clasp. In total there is one troy ounce of 18 karat gold in this finished work of art. It all started with 18 karat gold square wire: and with the help of a well guided hammer and a hot torch, each component of this necklace took shape.
